About me
Hello, my name is Jamila — mostly known as Jumy. I’m an IAABC-certified equine behavior consultant and positive reinforcement trainer based in the UAE.
I’ve been riding since 2006, but my journey with positive reinforcement began in 2013 long before it gained traction on social media. It all started from a simple interest in trick training, but with no one around to teach me, I became self-taught. I began experimenting with my show jumper (Quality), teaching a few tricks here and there, and later focused on it more seriously with my miniature horse, Tango. When I managed to teach him complex tricks (like painting with a brush) I thought, If I can teach something this advanced without force, why not apply the same approach to riding and behavior?
Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to science-based, ethical training that prioritizes the emotional well-being of the horse. I’ve worked with horses of all types, helping them and their humans communicate more clearly and kindly.
My approach is science-based, fear-free and compassionate. I don’t believe in force or dominance, just building trust, understanding, and joy in the process. Whether you’re new to this journey or looking to deepen your connection with your horse, you’ll find a safe, judgment-free space here to explore and grow.
